This October, our nursery teams have fully embraced the autumn season, transforming their settings into colourful, nature-inspired spaces. Leaves, nature walks, and creative play have been at the heart of our learning environments.
Across our nurseries, the children have enjoyed a wide range of exciting activities:
Maltby: Our children explored the wonders of space, learning about stars and constellation patterns through hands-on science and outdoor play.
Herringthorpe have enjoyed sensory fun with lavender playdough and imaginative creations.
North Anston: The children took part in a vibrant Diwali celebration, crafting their own glass tea lights and decorating the dining room before enjoying some delicious festive food. Outdoor learning has also been a big focus here, with new forest-style play opportunities and staff currently enrolled in Forest School training to expand our nature-based learning.
Carlton: The preschoolers had an unforgettable trip to Eastfield Farm in Tickhill, travelling by bus to explore a huge pumpkin field! They picked pumpkins, saw tractors and hay bales, and had a fantastic time amongst the sea of orange.
Thrybergh: Our children and parents came together to support the local community, contributing to the church’s Harvest Festival and delivering a generous hamper of goodies to the local food bank.
Meanwhile, our dedicated staff have been focusing on wellbeing and teamwork, organising picnics and lunches in celebration of World Mental Health Day. It’s been wonderful to see everyone coming together to support one another.
